Buy now or bid

When a buy-now snipe pays off, when bids on expiring auctions do, and how the Trader handles won auctions.

Every filter can buy in two ways. A snipe takes auctions with a buy-now under the threshold the instant they appear. Bids target expiring auctions with a maximum bid, like a person following the market would.

Buy now (snipe)

  • At every search the Trader takes the cheapest first, the most recent on a tie; the purchase starts right after EA answers, the resale after.
  • In the Market the reference is almost always the lowest buy-now: bargains are rare and last seconds. Too slow a rhythm misses them, too fast a one exposes you to risk.
  • In percentage modes the reference price refreshes every few minutes; for cards without a reference (consumables, club items) the EA Min BIN verified less than 10 minutes ago applies.

Bid

  1. 1At the top of the Strategy choose 🔨 Bid: the price strategy now defines the maximum bid.
  2. 2Set within how many minutes the auctions must expire and whether to rebid when outbid.
  3. 3Choose how many result pages to check per round (expiring auctions sit after the first) and the fixed pause between pages.
  4. 4The Trader places at most one bid per search and counts open bids in the spending limit; rebids on the same auction do not count as new bids.

Won auctions

When an auction expires the Trader reads the Watched list: if you won it, it lists the card according to the filter’s strategy. The Bids box in the dashboard is clickable and opens the open-bids panel: for each one your bid, its state (leading / outbid / checking outcome), time to expiry, planned resale and expected net, plus placed / won / lost.

The blue chip: bid, do not buy

In Market results, if the buy-now is expensive but the next required bid sits at least 10% under the reference (adjustable), the chip turns blue: better to bid. It applies to Transfer Targets too: on your active bids your own bid counts.

Price protections

  • To buy, the Trader uses the EA Min BIN recomputed every 2 minutes while the filter runs; a jump over 35% against a recent price is flagged suspicious and rechecked.
  • The resale used in decisions is the median of the measures of the last 15 minutes: one isolated measure does not move it; if the market really falls it reacts at once.
  • Hard floor: when many auctions sit at the minimum and none below, the Trader buys at the floor only if the resale leaves a positive net, otherwise it warns the filter will not buy.
  • An EA minimum read from the card is certain: if the filter price is below it, the Trader skips the round and says so in the log.
